Grandmother stuff: 3 stuff to remove a lawn stain

Ah, the smell of freshly mown grass! This simple little olfactory delight is among our top 5 of our greatest summer pleasures. But hey, we can be careful spreading a big blanket on the grass for a picnic in the park, sometimes there is nothing to do and the grass stains our clothes! We have checked for you which grandmother's tricks are really effective in removing a lawn stain. Here are 3 that should (normally) pass the test, if you try them.

Your beautiful salmon pink skirt worn at an outdoor music festival where your legs could no longer support you after two hours or the new white shorts of the youngest of the family who wanted an impossible momentum to curb rolling in the grass, are the recent victims of the summer lawn? Before you freak out and scream in despair, try one of these grandma tricks (or try two or three, but we sincerely hope it works the first time)!

1. White vinegar to the rescue

How to remove a grass stain from white pants

Slip a clean rag under the stain, inside the trousers.

Pour a (very) small amount of white vinegar on the grass stain.

Take another rag and dab that stain.

Obtain your mind or your hands with something else for an hour, the time to let everything work.

Then take a lemon and slice it in half.

Gently rub the grass stain (a movement from the outside, towards the center of the stain).

Once the stain is gone, send the garment for a spin in the washing machine!

2. Because toothpaste doesn't just fight tartar and cavities...

…but also some of the most stubborn lawn stains!

Start by wetting the stain with water.

Add some WHITE toothpaste (very important) and spread it long and wide on the stain in question.

Grab a toothbrush (not the one you use daily, of course) and scrub the stain well.

Add a few drops of white vinegar (that dear saviour!).

Then, rinse everything with water.

3. Because the potato loves the earth, not the grass!

Apparently, the cooking juices of the potato can be useful for many things, but for the needs of the present cause, it is the help of the whole potato that we seek.

Slice a potato in half.

Don't peel it. Its peel will prevent your hands from slipping too much.

With the flesh side of the potato, vigorously rub the grass stain on your clothing.

Let this “natural detergent” work for about an hour or two before putting your garment in the washer.
