The beekeepers of the municipal hives delivered their jars of honey to the nursery schools in the city.

Forty pots in total that will delight children from Villefranchoises nursery schools for which the municipality has organized breakfasts twice a week. "If we could replace Nutella with honey, it would be the apotheosis!" Said Martine Razavi, municipal councilor responsible for early childhood and schools. A wish for a good lifestyle that could come true since it adds: "I am pleasantly surprised that honey is so popular with children because they appreciate it a lot on sandwiches". The latter is also considering educational work on the Municipal Struck website, avenue du Champ-des Chartreux. But if these bits of cabbage appreciate so much honey from the city it is probably because the quality is also there. "This 2021 vintage is excellent, it is a all -flower honey, finely crystallized, which looks like creamy honey. It reflects the flora of our terroir with the fruits of the valley, white clover, melilot of the causses and a point of chestnut Du Ségala to Corser, "explains Jean-Pierre Mangé, head of the school apiary. Speed and long on the palate, this honey has also appealed to the jury for the Occitanie honeys competition in Toulouse, organized by the southern beekeeping union which allocated the silver medal to it. "We work for the health of the bee, insects, biodiversity. Bees are a sympathetic revealer of our health capital," insists Jean-Pierre eaten. The same is pleased with the exemplary partnership knotted with the municipal services as well as with the Aveyron bee health defense group (GDSA), "a devoted group in which we exchange our skills to try to tend to the Excellency". Jean-Pierre Mangé also adds that consumer beekeeping lessons will see the light of day. "It's a long learning where you learn every day."
