For 7 years in Saint-Dizier, the House of Justice and Law (MJD) has offered a local judicial presence to the inhabitants of the territory.The information and services offered to users are provided on site, free of charge and in all confidentiality, by auxiliaries of justice and volunteer stakeholders, during appointments or permanence.

A single countertop of justice services

The house of justice and law, installed on the ground floor of the administrative city opened in 2013, carried by the city of Saint-Dizier, as part of the city policy;It is nevertheless attached to the Chaumont judicial court.It offers the territory a proximity judicial presence which facilitates victim assistance and access to law and contributes to the prevention of delinquency.

Users have simplified access to justice services to obtain advice and information on their rights and obligations, aid for judicial procedures, a place to meet professionals.The MJD is open to everyone, the services are free and confidential.A city agent provides users with a reception and legal orientation towards the worker best appropriate for their situation.A clerk provides access to the law and supports the judicities in their judicial and administrative procedures, during an appointment.

The activities of the House of Justice and the Law

The MJD provides a one -stop shop allowing the victims of criminal offenses to receive a privileged listening, support, information and support for the ADAJ (Departmental Aid for Justiciables) on site.Different associations and institutions also intervene: the CIDFF for family law (food pensions, PACS, separations, etc.), the DIRECCTE on issues relating to labor law as an employee or employer (contracts, layoff procedures, etc.),AHMI in terms of foreigners' law (discrimination, administrative support), SOS women welcome for domestic, sexist or sexual violence.
