At the start, four friends and neighboring Ferrières-en-Brie, who like to redo the world during the evenings.Seeking to defend the expectations of "ecology and social justice" for the presidential election 2022, they created a site and a petition which collected nearly 15,000 signatures under the name of citizens seek president.Today, they accompany the movement of popular primary.

News: What is the purpose of "citizens are looking for president"?

VSlaire Beltramo: We are convinced that many of us are already engaged in the ecological and social transition, to aspire to a fairer, responsible, benevolent world and to make it in our everyday life.The goal is to materialize these expectations and make them exist so that they are taken into account in the election.The idea is to say to the candidates: it exists, that's where there are expertise to grasp, listen to the field!Look at the solutions that exist instead of looking for scapegoats.

How all that started?

VS.B.: About a year ago.At that time, nothing could be heard about the presidential campaign.But this is where you have to open the debate and make your expectations exist.We created the site and the petition. VSe n'était pas vraiment une pétition mais on n'a pas trouvé d'autre outil. VSertains collègues se moquent mais je leur demande : et vous, vous faites quoi ?VS'est aussi un peu l'idée du colibri, que chacun doit faire sa part.I have children and when I compare their childhood to mine, there is no longer this carelessness.We are engaged locally but we want it to be carried at the national level.

Was the health crisis a trigger?

VS.B. : VSette fois on aimerait voter pour - et pas contre - et pour quelqu'un qui porte un projet créatif, des idées nouvelles.I see it every day in the office, burnout, harassment, violence, our society is sick because education, health, the social system are sick.If you want to reform, evolve, change, people have to be able to work in good conditions.We must defend the quality of life.We especially have the feeling of an urgency to act.We get to the end of a system.The crisis has shown the impact of government decisions on our daily life, so things can change by the National.But to change, you have to vote.

VS.B.: Thanks to feedback and knowledge.You should know that the popular primary brings together lots of associations and citizen movements that have been created.We are part of the orientation council with 22 other groups.All these movements have confirmed our initial intuition and the dynamics of popular primary is close;entrust to a candidate chosen by the vote, the burden of carrying a base of measures.And if the candidates can't agree, why wouldn't we do it in their place?

You have accumulated 14,896 signatures, what is the continuation?

VS.B.: We continue to bring the petition to life.Then, the idea is to follow the debates and list the proposals and to say who, in our opinion, is the candidate who approaches the most of our expectations.Our goal is to bring together.We have not yet discussed if it will be the candidate who will win the citizen primary.But we can't wait to see who will come out!
