International Education Days: common celebrations of Tibu Africa, MEN and UNFPA

On the occasion of the International Education and Women's Sport days, the NGO Tibu Africa, the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports and the United Nations Population Fund in Morocco (UNFPA) celebratesport as a tool for social cohesion and integration of young girls and women.

In this sense, and in the presence of the United States Consul in Morocco, the representative of UNFPA Morocco and the Director of the Regional Academy of Education and Training and beneficiaries of the Tibu Africa programs, theSchool of the 2nd Chance - New generation - Oriented Sports of Sports based in the old medina in Casablanca, knew Wednesday January 24, the launch of the development program by sport intended for young teenage girls, mothers, and girls inreduced mobility as well as the start of the 2nd promotion of the school of the second chance oriented sports professions.

Vector of social inclusion and gender equality, sport is a gateway to approach the theme of the genre and the linked discrimination.Thus, Tibu Africa does sport, genre and sustainable development a strategic axis of its action and its approach to intervention in Morocco and Africa.

Leader in social innovation by sport, Tibu Africa creates, develops and offers programs and initiatives that improve physical and moral health, academic success and professional integration via sport and life skills of young girls and women.

To carry out all these actions and measures aimed at lifting psychological obstacles to the practice of female sport, Tibu Africa works with several players in the ecosystem such as the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, the Confejes, the Fundof the United Nations Population, the United States Embassy in Morocco, the Australian Embassy in Morocco, citizen companies and non-profit associations.

Intervenant à l’occasion, Mohamed Amine Zariat, Ashoka Fellow & Président de l’ONG Tibu Africa a souligné que « par la célébration de cette journée mondiale du sport féminin, Tibu Africa met en avant l’ensemble de ses programmes à fort impact social en faveur de la jeune fille adolescente et des jeunes femmes en situation de NEET »

In 2022, he added, "we plan to launch 3 African initiatives which will create a transformational impact with 17.500 girls and women ".

With the support of UNFPA, United Nations Population Fund in Morocco, Tibu Africa works to promote the well-being of adolescent girls through innovative interventions based on a sports approach.

Several model initiatives have been implemented to guarantee access to adolescent girls and young girls to information and sexual health and reproductive and gender health services via sport.The joint collaboration action emphasizes the needs and aspirations of adolescent girls and young people in particular the most marginalized and vulnerability.

Thanks to an ecosystem made up of African governments, ministries, diplomatic representations, international donors, United Nations agencies, committed private companies, sports industry, public agencies, local associations, universities, researchers, media and families,Tibu Africa positions himself as an actor of social innovation through sport in Africa, carrying innovative, inclusive and sustainable solutions to the ecosystem.
