The mathematics test for the 2021 session of the college patent (DNB) takes place on Monday, June 28. Between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., you will work on several calculation and geometry exercises, as well as an exercise in algorithms and programming.

To understand everything, we interviewed Nicolas Lemoine, professor of mathematics. It provides you with advice on how to prepare well for the test and approach the two hours of work calmly and with proper equipment (think calculators!).

What do you need to know to pass the math test?

“The entire mathematics program will be swept away. We are not necessarily going to look for sharp things or trap the student on a point in the program, but really check that he has mastered what is expected at the end of the college program ." As you will have understood, it is better to know your theorems and other calculation methods well in order to be sure of your copy on the day of the exam.

Nicolas Lemoine advises to revise on a regular basis to be more effective. "The idea is to redo the exercises that were done in class with the teachers." Your teacher can also accompany you in your revisions if you have any questions.
